Our story

Building Africa's mutual credit network

We believe businesses should be able to grow without being limited by cash. MCCS was built to make that possible — connecting thousands of businesses in a community where trade creates its own currency.

Mission

Trade that creates its own currency

In 2019, our founders noticed a pattern: businesses with healthy order books were still struggling for cash to operate. Not because they lacked customers — but because cash was trapped in receivables, seasonal cycles, and tight credit markets.

Mutual credit is a centuries-old solution to this problem. MCCS is the modern infrastructure that makes it work at scale across borders, industries, and currencies.

Vision

A world where cash is optional

We're building toward a world where any two businesses — a bakery in Nairobi and a logistics firm in Lagos — can trade directly, efficiently, and without needing a bank to stand between them.

ABC credits are the medium. Trust is the foundation. The network is the product.

What we stand for

Our values

Fairness
Every member — sole trader or enterprise — trades on the same terms. The network exists to serve members, not extract from them.
🔒
Trust
Mutual credit only works when members honour their commitments. We verify every business, enforce limits, and resolve disputes transparently.
🌍
Community
Trade builds relationships. We connect businesses across borders who would otherwise never find each other.
🔭
Transparency
All ABC balances, clearing rates, and network statistics are visible to members. No hidden fees, no opaque pricing.
